UPDATE: This course is now full - please email Fernanda if you would like to go on the waiting list for a future course.
This is an invitation to participate in a research project on values-based practice coming up in February 2019. The project is being run by Niki Harré and Daniel Hikuroa from The University of Auckland. Fernanda Munoz-Duran is a research assistant and Masters student who is also involved with the project.
The project involves exploring values-based practice and sharing your experiences with others. We are aiming to have a variety of participants from different social settings. We are structuring the project as a course and you will receive a certificate of participation at the end. The skills you will learn are likely to be of value to you personally as well as in your whanau, work and community settings.
The project will involve attending five evening wānanga (learning sessions) at The University of Auckland. These will take place on consecutive Monday evenings, beginning February 11, 2019. Each session will be from 5.30pm – 8pm and dinner will be provided. The cost of public transport to and from the University or the cost of parking at the University will be covered by us. If you have other associated costs, such as childcare, we may be able to cover these too. You will be asked to do homework in between sessions and may wish to keep a journal and participate in online discussions.
Here is a draft outline of the course.
Further details on the research component are on the information sheet that can be found here.
If you would like to participate or have any questions, please get in touch with Fernanda on firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be taking the first 20 participants who apply and keep a waiting list if we have more than 20 people interested.
You can also contact Niki (email@example.com) or Dan (firstname.lastname@example.org) directly.
